What you get to do:
As a Supervisor in Theatrical Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the team members and assistant supervisors while enforcing safety procedures and guidelines. You will also:
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and administer discipline when necessary
  • Train, evaluate, coach, and develop the performance of the Theatrical Services team members and assistant supervisors
  • Administer team member evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Install and supervise technical aspects for all Entertainment related events
  • Work with venue Stage Managers and the Entertainment staff to ensure all shows are maintained at the highest quality standards.
  • Assist management with administrative responsibilities such as: budget tracking, punch lists, rehearsal schedules, production archives, production calendars & timelines
  • Comply with all Child Labor Laws with regards to breaks, lunches and hours worked per day
  • Establish and maintain a positive working environment
  • Perform and complete assigned tasks from management as needed

What it takes to succeed:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Three (3) months experience in a leadership
  • Ten (10) months experience as a theatrical services technician, or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of theatrical lighting and audio/video, production and/or technical theater.
  • A passion for customer service
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Active listener with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs
  • Flexibility to perform varied duties
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with a high aptitude for computer software programs

What else is important:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Willingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat (both in and out of costume)
  • Provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our 2022 Holiday and Availability agreement.
  • Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
  • Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines

This position is currently paid at a premium seasonal rate of $15.00 through 9/5/2022
