What you get to do:

As Consumer Insight Manager, you will lead day-to-day internal and external research to inform our guest strategies, understand where we have new opportunities and help inform our operations across the portfolio of parks. The ideal candidate will be able to proactively identify opportunity areas and lead consumer research to drive to actionable insights that help us continually raise the bar for our guests. This role will work closely with Marketing and Revenue Management to deeply integrate and collaborate with park leadership teams to turn insights into action and ensure consumer insights help drive our decision-making. Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research projects, including methodology/survey design, research vendor selection and management, data analysis, report writing and presentation of results
  • Partner with Brand Marketing on creative/advertising testing (TV, digital, etc.)
  • Partner with Attractions team on development pipeline research
  • Partner with Revenue Management and park leadership on food and beverage satisfaction and development
  • Manage brand health longitudinal tracking
  • Trending and analysis of relevant secondary industry, destination and competitive data to support business strategies and opportunities
  • Provide data and insights to support annual business plans and ongoing park performance assessments
  • Assist with cross-park guest satisfaction program, including survey design, and data reporting/analysis
  • Coordinate logistics for in-park research projects

What it takes to succeed:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in consumer insights, market research, statistics, business, marketing or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 3 or more years related work experience (corporate or supplier side)
  • Extensive experience in research design, implementation (survey development, programming, etc.), and reporting/analysis
  • Familiarity with advanced research methodologies and full spectrum of common research methods
  • Demonstrated ability to translate research data into actionable insights and recommendations through compelling reports and presentations
  • Outstanding written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills; ability to effectively distill and communicate actionable insights
  • Strong statistical background and proficiency with statistical/survey software (SPSS, Qualtrics, etc.); familiarity with PowerBI preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and manage external research partners
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management and organization skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
