What you get to do:
  • Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
  • Responsible for the development of OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback and coaching
  • Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
  • Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law
  • Responsible for the development of team members by providing training, feedback and coaching
  • Respond to guest and team member needs by utilizing problem solving skills to ensure positive resolutions as needed
  • Assist leadership in establishing a workplace environment that promotes personal development of self and others, creating high morale amongst entire team and sets the example for development
  • Creates an inspiring, collaborative, innovative and results oriented location environment fostering guest service, job satisfaction and retention
  • Demonstrate day to day and forward-looking ownership of areas through responsibility of facility performance, acting with integrity and professionalism, following through on commitments and making educated decisions with a sense of urgency
  • Perform all front-line duties as needed to include staffing shows, operating rides, cleaning restrooms and pathways
  • Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve
  • Upkeep all documentation, team member files, schedules, databases, and generation of regular reports
  • Monitor daily labor to align with labor budget and daily attendance
  • Assist in the creation and adjustment of labor line schedules and monitor daily labor to align with labor targets
  • Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards
  • Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations
  • Respond to ambassador and guest needs
  • Communicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the park

What it takes to succeed:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license
  • Available to work weekends and Holidays
  • Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
  • Able to climb stairs
  • Able to operate in a cash handling environment
  • Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions
  • Be a role model for SEA safety, guest service, cleanliness and grooming standards
  • Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
  • Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
  • Able to lift or move 50lbs
