What you get to do:

You will play an integral role managing email marketing across the portfolio of brands and parks. You will be accountable for strategic positioning, development, and activation of a wide variety of email campaigns to drive consumer engagement and conversion. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and will champion customer relationship management across the company through deep expertise, earned influence and effective change management.
You will:

  • Act as Team Lead and subject-matter-expert on email automation utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Propose, plan, design, develop, implement, and test complex automated journeys across all brands such as welcome series, win-back campaigns, renewal series, loyalty program, etc.
  • Create customer journey maps for customer groups across all parks and maintain triggered touchpoints to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Utilize Salesforce Einstein Automated Intelligence capabilities to enhance current promotions and inform team on best practices.
  • Operate AMPscript and Dynamic Content capabilities in Salesforce to create personalized email campaigns to target audiences with tailored messages.
  • Work directly with customer data management systems to create data extensions and CRM tests.
  • Coordinate and develop email programs on behalf of the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment brands to qualified audiences to influence loyalty, purchase, and visitation.
  • Coordinate with park marketing teams, SEA email developers and ESP partner to create individual-park or company-wide lifecycle journeys/campaigns/touchpoints.
  • Manage email channel activations informed by audience segmentation and personalization through SEA’s CRM platform.
  • Maintain email creative/code standards and best practices. Partner with park marketing teams and email marketing colleagues to create consistency in the consumer journey in email channels including approach, tone, and content strategy.
  • Partner with park marketing and creative services to ensure consistency in the consumer experience in email channels including approach, tone, and content strategy.
  • Support digital channel strategy to align with SEA vision for the ideal consumer experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Research and communicate industry trends and best practices.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related business field
  • Must have 5+ years of email operations / digital marketing experience
  • Demonstrated strong technical proficiency and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AMPscripting, Data Extensions, Data Filters, Dynamic Content, Customer Journeys, SQL, etc.
  • Experience with CDP or similar customer data systems (Flywheel, etc.)
  • Understanding of CRM platforms and working with complex data and legacy systems
  • Experience in Email Design and Development using HTML/CSS Language
  • Working knowledge of Email Design, A/B Testing of Emails
  • Experience with project management software and prioritizing (experience with Wrike a plus)
  • Heightened attention to design and device-rendering detail
  • Working knowledge of our brands, products and industry (prior guest-facing theme park or entertainment experience a plus!)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences
  • Willingness to train and teach colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to be agile, resourceful and pivot priorities
  • Enthusiastic, confident change-agent with ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment
