In order to be considered for part-time opportunities, candidates must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business needs. This may include working opening, mid-day, closing shifts, weekends and holidays.

Requirements and Competencies

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to complete provided CPR training/certification
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent situational awareness and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and exercise discretion/authority when required
  • Must be able to stand in one position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to properly lift 75 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
  • Must have a minimum of 2 full days of availability (open-close), which includes 1 weekend day
  • Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous guest service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Previous security experience or equivalent education preferred
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete guest screening to prevent prohibited items from entering the park through the use of automated and manual systems; i.e bag inspections, hand held and walk through metal detectors
  • Ensure security and safety of park guests and employees by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Interact with guests and other ambassadors to ensure a secure environment exists without incident
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence with park guests and ambassadors
  • Identify and report unusual events or behaviors as needed
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the park and work space
  • Attend scheduled in-service training to maintain/improve skill level
  • Assist local public service providers as necessary for the safety, security and well-being of park guests, ambassadors and company assets
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Complete incident reports as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
