What you get to do
  • Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
  • Displays merchandise in windows, showcases and on sales floor of gift shops to attract attention of prospective customers.
  • Requests product quotes and orders product.
  • Facilitates the timely completion of work orders.
  • Works with product activation Manager to plan shops.
  • Assists leader with plan-o-grams for prompt and correct product activation.
  • Designs and creates gift shop display ideas.
  • Constructs or assembles prefabricated display properties and design all store signage.
  • Assists with planning promotional presentation layouts and merchandise events to include all set up and strike of fixtures and props.
  • Arranges properties, mannequins, furniture, merchandise and backdrop according to prearranged plan or own ideas.
  • Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise or floor.
  • Dresses mannequins for use in displays.
  • Ensures excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasionally assist other locations and areas throughout the park as needed.

What it takes to succeed
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Required to have and maintain a valid California driver's license; visiting students and military are required to have valid driver's license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the DMV report and must be able to complete the Company Vehicle Driver Training class and obtain a SWC driver’s license.
  • Minimum two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and able to speak effectively before groups
  • Excellent math skills to compute rate, ratio and percent and to create and interpret graphs
  • Able to frequently lift/move 25-50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel, stoop, crawl or kneel, climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to positively interact with park guests and co workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs
  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Art experience, drawing abilities and portfolio preferred.
