Requirements and Competencies


• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least three years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade or in the carpentry field
• Must have cabinet making experience; i.e. cabinet building and framing; fabrications of countertops, and more)
• Must have experience with solid surface and laminate counter top fabrication
• Must have experience in roof repairs
• Must have experience in drywall installation and repair
• Must be experienced in all phases of concrete work
• Must be able to work from blueprints or in-depth sketches
• Must be able to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have basic mathematical skills
• Must be comfortable working at heights up to 100ft
• Must be comfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ft
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to climb and work off of ladders
• Must be comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
• Must be comfortable working around water
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Must be able to train on and properly use protective gear
• Must be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
• Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours including opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays.


Desired Qualifications


• Cross-trained in other maintenance fields
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license, preferred


Primary Responsibilities


• Perform all functions of general carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Select proper materials for jobs
• Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
