The entry-level Human Resources Coordinator role will provide a wide variety of support to the Human Resources department. This position involves a significant amount of direct contact with leaders, employees, new hires, and employment candidates. The individual will be responsible for providing the human touch that brings our employment processes and systems to life.


What you get to do:
• Create and maintain confidential applicant and employee electronic records.
• Liaison with the recruiting team for on-boarding and other duties.
• Utilize the HR systems/records interface to on-board new hires.
• Schedule orientation and training classes.
• Assist internal and external customers by answering questions and directing them to appropriate HR personnel.
• Complete I-9 verifications and state labor law compliance in accordance with state and federal law.
• Assist with employee relations investigations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and legal guidelines.
• Handle frequent data entry, filing, reports, and other administrative tasks.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.


What it takes to succeed:
• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in human resources or related discipline
• Knowledge of human resources functions, including tasks within the employment cycle.
• Strong computer and phone skills.
• Experience working in the theme park or hospitality industry or related
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems (ADP, Kronos)
• Experience working in a fast paced, high-growth company.
• General understanding of CA employment laws related to hiring and selection.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.).
•Full availability at least 3 days until 6pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility on the weekend would be preferred.

• Adaptability/Flexibility — Job requires being open to change, variety and some ambiguity in the workplace.


Working Conditions:
• Primarily working indoors.
• May sit/stand for several hours at a time.
• Frequent change and/or interruptions, responding to highly stressful situations requiring immediate action, independent judgment, and superior problem-solving abilities.
• Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
• Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
