Junior Purchasing Specialist

What you get to do:
The Junior Purchasing Specialist (JPS) works in the Corporate Supply Chain Management organization and reports to the Procurement Manager. Primary responsibility is to action, monitor and complete purchase requests. The JPS works closely with the Park stakeholders/requestors, Park finance teams, Procurement Manager, Corporate Buyers, Category Managers and Supply Chain Leaders to support procurement processes and subsequent implementation of national programs while providing exceptional customer service. You will:
Actions, monitors, and completes purchase requests in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service to our parks and stakeholders
Enters and tracks purchase requisitions in ERP
Enters catalog orders as needed
Responsible for directing all relevant purchases to vendors on the SCM preferred vendor list
Identify local requirements and assist park requisitioners to enter complete and accurate purchase requests
Responsible for setting up vendors, keeping vendor information updated, looking up vendor numbers, and looking up PO numbers when invoices don’t list the information
Maintain all purchasing files securely
Other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
Bachelor's degree or two (2) years equivalent business experience desired.
Professional certification in CPSM, CSCP, CSCMP a plus
Must possess SAP knowledge in Materials Management and Finance modules
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
Working knowledge of purchasing practices and policies
Must have a working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills with ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
Must possess strong computer/Window’s software knowledge
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
Minimum two (2) years Procurement experience
Basic knowledge of financial accounting, economic, operations, and business strategy concepts.
