What you get to do:

• Manages all security officers, off-duty law enforcement officers, special events staff and security dignitaries. Responsible for technical recruitment, development, evaluation, personnel performance management, and adherence to department safety initiatives. Actively participates in all personnel hiring and advancement decision making process.
• Ensures all staff are in compliance with certifications/licenses
• Develops and implements security training programs
• Directs and conducts investigations; Completes case preparation and court presentations. Will represent park in court as needed.
• Reviews and evaluates daily security activity, and ensures proper documentation and retention of all related records and reports
• Develops and Maintains partnership and communication with all levels of outside law enforcement to include - local, federal, state law enforcement, judicial system, and other security departments within SEA Parks and Entertainment..
• Develop and manage department P&L budget

What it takes to succeed:

• College degree or equivalent military, law enforcement or security experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience in Security, Law Enforcement, or Military field
• Valid State Driver's License
• Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
• Maintain a Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Criminal Justice Services, Armed Security Officer Certification. If not currently certified must acquire within 60 days of hire.
