What you get to do:
As a Warehouse Ambassador in Merchandise, you’ll receive shipments, verify invoices and enter product information into our computer-based program. Adhering to all SeaWorld inventory procedures, you will make sure the right products get to the right places at the right time. You will:

  • Warehouse is located off Mission George Road.

  • Receive, process and distribute material/product
  • Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
  • Helps ensure inventory integrity
  • Operates park delivery trucks
  • Operates order picker, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Assists in pricing and re-pricing all merchandise for pick tickets and purchase orders
  • Assists in pulling product from bin locations or pick tickets.
  • Communicates any discrepancies with regards to pick tickets and purchase orders to Warehouse Leadership Team
  • Loads/Unloads trucks for deliveries
  • Assists in deliveries to the park
  • Assists with pick-ups within the park when departments have special projects and/or need assistance
  • Unloading import containers and labeling all received items.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the work areas
  • Assists in annual inventory
  • Maintains a safe work environment by ensuring that all safety procedures are followed
  • Ability to read and effectively interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and safety of the shop, department, or work crew
  • Utilizes safe handling, storage, and disposal practices with toxic substances and hazardous waste
  • Performs a daily check of operating tools/equipment and completes safety check off sheet
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required; other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license; out of state residents, active military, their dependents and students, must have a valid driver’s license and provide a copy of the DMV report from their state of residency
  • Able to meet all the requirements to drive SeaWorld vehicles.
  • Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Have basic math skills
  • Have strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to work independently as well as in group settings
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Regular use of hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Able to work in high elevations
  • Work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e. sunny, wet, and/or humid)
  • Able to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs
  • Previous Merchandise warehouse experience at SeaWorld San Diego preferred
