Trades I (Maintenance Technician)

Basic Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent. Trade School or other educational equivalent preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance and be able to meet SEA driving guidelines
- Must have 3 years of general carpentry or maintenance experience
- Must be able to understand basic knowledge, trouble shoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues that occur in the operation and maintenance of equipment used in a water park.
- Ability to work full-time rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays, available to work overtime when required
- Be able to pass a Certified Pool Operator Course and a ride competency course
- Must be physically able to climb stairs daily on multiple 50’ towers, lift 50 lbs, repetitive bending, able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Able to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions including cold and extreme heat
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on filtration systems that would include pump repairs, backwashing filters, cleaning strainer baskets, maintaining water levels, perform required water readings.
- Perform daily green tag inspections and properly fill out and complete inspection reports, corrective action reports, and log books in a timely manner
- Perform painting, plumbing, mechanical work or other types of tasks that are needed
- Be able to repair or replace heavy timbers, decks, handrails, steps, cabinets, building siding, and other carpentry related projects
- Interface and communicate effectively with workgroup, department, and other departments to benefit the park (Operations, Merchandise, Admissions, etc.)
- Perform any and all types of duties assigned by management
- All EH&S requirements and quality standards must be met during job activities
